Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View each Friday. This is my FIRST Follow Friday, so please, bear with me.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
What is your usual monthly book budget?
Budget? Whats a budget? I usually try to stay under $50 each time I go to the book store (which is not nearly as often as I like). I use creating a classroom library as an excuse to buy things that I want to read. Sometimes I go over, like last weekend when I ended up at Borders and the used bookstore in town. I don't like to leave the store with less than three books, so that's where I usually limit myself. I have a whole pile of books I haven't read and I don't think I will be buying more soon.
Thanks guys! Have a great weekend!
Following you!
ReplyDeleteI'm a college student, so my book budget is for schoolbooks. Bummer! I get all of mine at the Thrift Store and through reviewing websites that send them to me for free :)
Welcome to the hops! I'm a new follower. I spend between $0 and 50 per month on books.

Hopping through! Don't worry, this is my first Follow Friday as well :)
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by through Follow Friday. I wish I could stick to $50 a month but I am addicted to books and spend way too much.

Hopped in to say hi and am now a follower. I like your book budget, me I am a see it buy kinda gal. Hve a great weekend.
ReplyDeletehahaha I thought we all used excuses to justify our purchases. I am going to school to be a teacher, so I use that one too. I also use the.. "well, my children may want to read this someday"... even though I am not married, or even engaged for that matter. But, we have to justify the books somehow :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I stopped by from Follow Friday :)
Hey! I'm your newest follower; just stopping by on the hop to wish you a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy monthly book budget is anything under $100 I feel is acceptable. It's tough sometimes though with so many great books out there. So little time and such a large TBR pile!

Hi Liz! Here on the hop, and I'm now a follower. I don't have a set book budget, it has highs and lows (especially at the start of the term- college books are way expensive!) but on average, I spend roughly $40.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

Hi! I am a new book blogger at http://ivyreads.blogspot.com/ and a new follower!
ReplyDelete$50 is quite a budget for books, but you can never go wrong on a budget like that because we tend to just want to buy books we are interested in. And there are quite a few out there that can add up to $50 or more. :) I love to spend a lot at once so I don't have to keep running back for more until I've finished them or have the time to read them.
I try to keep it under 20 on any given month unless I have birthday or holiday money to spend.
ReplyDeleteI am following now and can't wait to see more from your blog.

Hi. I am a new book blogger at http://ivyreads.com and a new follower! :)
ReplyDelete$50 worth of books is a lot to read! :) But it gives you a nice little library and something to look forward to reading. I hope you enjoy them.
Have a great weekend!
Book budget? What's a book budget?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I don't have one. I don't keep on buying books until I hit
bankruptcy but neither do I hold myself back from buying a book that really
speaks to me.
I exercise a fair amount of fiduciary responsibility but nothing so formal
as to be called a book budget.
TGIFF!
Thank God It's Follow Friday!

I don't have budgets really, not for books or anything. But lately my TBR is mostly E=ARCs, ARCs and books I won!
ReplyDeleteSO many books and so little time. come by and see the guest post and giveaway from Kersten Hamilton, author of Tyger Tyger. Tyger Tyger is the best book I have read this year, and she is a major talent. She is crossing over from children's and middle grade books to YA.

ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say hello!
have a good weekend!
Glad to have found you via FF. I'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteI don't pay much attention to how much I spend on books since most of what I read comes either from publishers or from the library. When I do find a book I want, I usually go ahead and buy it, although I do try to use coupons or get SOME kind of discount.
I saw your WOW post - I just finished MATCHED and really, really liked it!
