Follow Friday (3) and Book Blogger Hop (2)

It's Friday again! Time for the following and the hopping, and if you're a college student like me, the getting ready for finals!

Follow Friday is hosted at Parajunkee's View.
This week's question:

Do you have an under-noticed author that you think we should all know about?

I don't know if she really counts as under-noticed, but Kristen Cashore is an incredible author that I think everyone should know about. Her Graceling series is so beautifully written and the stories are so unique and almost heart wrenching. Her characters are brilliant and real and I love that both of the main characters are strong women. I couldn't put either of them down and I think everyone should give them a try. Her blog is also pretty awesome, especially when she posts pictures of her trapeze lessons.

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen at Crazy for Books.
This week's question:
"What is the thing you like most about reading book blogs?  Is it the reviews, author guest posts, articles, giveaways, or something else entirely?"
My answer: All of the above. I love being introduced to new books and new authors, I love hearing what other people have to say about books that I both have and haven't read, I think the author interviews and guest posts are insightful and sometimes hysterical and I am a contest junkie. I like everything about it. Its nice to know that there are other people who love books as much as I do and want to talk about them.

Happy Friday Everyone!!

  2. I can heartily recommend our own Tribute Books author, Molly Roe. She is the author of the young adult historical fiction, Call Me Kate: Meeting the Molly Maguires. It is the first of a trilogy of books about three sisters growing up in a coal mining town during the Civil War era. It also won the Mom's Choice Award.

I also love the books of Tommie Lyn - a fantastic self-published author.
