Follow Friday is hosted at Parajunkee's View. Today's featured blogger was Carmel @ Rabid Reads. This week's question is:
What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?
I am still in college.. I'm studying English Secondary Education,. Yes, I am going to be a high school English teacher. I LOVE IT! I just finished my last semester of classes and now I have a semester of student teaching to finish before I graduate and get a job. I just went to my placement school yesterday to meet my co-op and I am SOOO excited. I hope that I will get a job in teaching, some aspect of teaching, but as the job market is not that great, I'll have to see what happens.Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen at Crazy for Books. This week's question is: "What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?"
I think that to get me involved in the story I have to feel some connection to the characters. If I don't like the characters or want to know their story than I'm not going to read the book. On the other hand, if the plot is boring, there is no way that I am going to get the book finished. I'll just pick up something that I like better. it needs to be balanced: I have to like the characters and I have to like the plot. They almost need to go hand in hand to create a great story.
Yay, Friday! I hope everyone has a great weekend. Now that finals are FINALLY over, I will have a ton more time to read, so hopefully more reviews to come. Until student teaching, when I'll be too busy to even breathe. Thanks guys!

Old follower hopping by! I was an English major too :o) I agree, there should be a good balance between chacarters and plot! Hop by to see my answers!
